On the afternoon of June 5, 2023, the first council meeting of Huizhou prefabricated construction alliance for Hong Kong was successfully held in the conference room on the third floor of Heqing Business Building. Lai Junqi, Minister of Business Development, attended the meeting, which was presided over by Gan Jiping, Secretary General of the Alliance.

At the beginning of the meeting, Gan Jiping, Secretary-General of the Alliance, introduced the agenda of the meeting to the participants, introduced the relevant situation of the Alliance for Hong Kong and the significance of the establishment of the Alliance. The participants were briefed on the detailed interpretation of the constitution and working mode of the Hong Kong Supply Alliance. Secretary-General Kam pointed out that the alliance aims to provide quality prefabricated construction services in Hong Kong and overseas, including related products, technologies and talent supply services. The alliance will establish a unified, collaborative and win-win platform and technical service standards for Hong Kong, and provide technical exchanges, technical cooperation and information services for members.

Secretary-General Kam reported to the Council of the Alliance on the next work plan of the Alliance, which mainly includes: formulating relevant standards for the Alliance and promoting mutual recognition between Hong Kong and Huizhou; nurturing and mutual recognition of talents for Hong Kong; Establish an expert database of the alliance and invite more relevant industry units to join; Improve the organizational structure and operation mechanism of the alliance to provide high-quality services for member companies; Docking with the governments of Huizhou and Hong Kong to link the policies of the two places for the alliance enterprises to supply Hong Kong; Docking with Hong Kong industry associations, chambers of commerce and institutions to facilitate corporate orders from member units; Assist in solving the difficulties and development problems of alliance enterprises, etc.

Subsequently, the participants also made speeches and discussed the work content and future development of the alliance for Hong Kong.

Zhou Yi, president of the alliance for Hong Kong, talked about the process of preparation and construction of the alliance. President Zhou introduced the advantages of the alliance to the participants: the advantage of timing, the current Hong Kong government wants to focus on solving the housing problem of people's livelihood; Geographical advantages, Huizhou has a superior geographical location; The popularity advantage has been supported by Mr. Tam Yiu-chung and the Director General of the Hong Kong Development Bureau, Mr. Ning Hanhao. In the future, more enterprises will join the alliance, and there will be more industry associations, chambers of commerce and enterprises in Hong Kong to connect with us. The current situation is very good, and I hope we can seize these opportunities and use them as a starting point for Hong Kong, and then supply to other countries and regions along the Belt and Road.

It is hoped that relevant enterprises will give full play to their own advantages and technologies, and through your efforts, they will make better products and services to the Hong Kong Alliance, and build the Huizhou brand.

The establishment of the Alliance has created a bridge of communication between Huizhou and Hong Kong's construction industry, which is of great significance for promoting the optimization and upgrading of the prefabricated construction industry in the Greater Bay Area, and solving the problems of talent shortage and lack of housing supply in Hong Kong's construction industry. Due to the high degree of collection of prefabricated buildings in Hong Kong, it can drive the development of a whole industrial chain including prefabricated construction production, design, BIM, installation, supervision, construction equipment, decoration, furniture and household appliances, building materials, logistics and transportation.
